The Charity Law Association Limited was established in 1992 with the aim of enabling charity advisers, charity professionals and others with expertise in charity matters to meet together, exchange ideas and intelligence, and use their experience and expertise for the benefit of the charity sector.
To ensure that we are free to promote any changes to charity law which appear to our members – based on their expertise in the field – to be necessary or desirable, the Charity Law Association Limited is not itself a charity.
We work closely with the Charity Commission and are now consulted by Government and others in connection with charity law issues.
We currently have over a 1000 members including many of the country’s largest charities and most leading charity lawyers. Members or their representatives are able to attend quarterly meetings at which charity law and related issues are discussed. The Charity Law
Association Limited also provides members with quarterly updates on developments in the field, the opportunity to attend its annual one-day conference, the possibility of contributing to working parties, and access to the Charity Commission approved model documents.
Membership is open to any individual or organisation with an interest in charity law.
Individual Memberships
Purchased by individuals for themselves.
Team Memberships
Purchased by those members who manage and pay for their own membership and the membership of colleagues.
The Charity Law Association’s strength is in the depth and range of expertise of its members, working together for the benefit of the sector.
