Dear Nicola,
Charity Commission Legal Service – job opportunities
As you know, the Charity Commission registers and regulates charities in England and
Wales, to ensure that the public can support charities with confidence.
As part of our transformation programme to strengthen the Commission, we are focusing on
developing a more efficient, effective and specialist legal service. We are looking for talented
individuals to bring consistently greater levels of legal expertise to our regulation and support
of charities.
We are looking for lawyers who can provide expert legal advice to the Commission in charity
and regulatory law and practice. Workloads will involve advising on complex and novel legal
cases, challenging policy work, and handling interesting litigation and review cases.
I am looking to fill two key posts and enclose brief details of each should it be of interest to
colleagues.
Post One: Legal Adviser, Compliance and Enforcement (London based)
Post Two: Legal Advisers, Operational Legal Team and Information Law (Liverpool based)
Further information about these posts is available on the Civil Service Jobs website.
I would be happy for this letter to be made available to the membership of the CLA on its
website.
Yours sincerely,
Kenneth Dibble
Director of Legal Services
